Welcome to the latest installment of Trailer Park, our regular look at the latest trailers to hit the interwebs. This “volume” is features a bevy of trailers (including the likes of Sin City 2, The Maze Runner, Easy Money 2, Divergent, Kerb Crawlers and Transformers 4) for not only movies but the odd comic too!
Sin City 2
Nine years after the box-office smash SIN CITY, the stories of the notorious city dwellers resume in the hugely anticipated sequel SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR. Boasting an all-star cast led by Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception, The Dark Knight Rises), Eva Green (Dark Shadows), Juno Temple (Killer Joe), Jessica Alba (Sin City, Fantastic Four), Bruce Willis (Looper) and Josh Brolin (Old Boy), this next installment promises to take audiences on a visceral ride into the twisted minds of Frank Miller’s unforgettable characters.
Easy Money 2
JW (Joel Kinnaman), the promising business student who became an organized coke smuggler in Easy Money, is serving hard time in prison and struggling to get back on an honest path. There are glimmers of hope in his life – some venture capitalists are interested in a new piece of trading software he’s developed, and while behind bars he’s made peace with an old enemy. This all proves to be an illusion. On leave from prison, and back in contact with his former gang, JW learns that once you’ve walked in the shoes of a criminal there just may be no going back.
Divergent
On a given day each year, all sixteen year olds must take a test and choose where they belong. For Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley) the choice is not an easy one. In this divided existence where everyone must conform, Tris is DIVERGENT — a danger and threat to this seemingly perfect world. Forced to hide this deadly secret, Tris chooses Dauntless and is drawn to her enigmatic mentor, Four (Theo James), who appears to both threaten and protect her. As a dangerous conflict develops amongst the factions, Tris must rely on her strength and courage not only to survive, but to save the people she loves.
Kerb Crawlers
Some footage should not be found… Commissioned to make a depraved snuff movie, five men abduct a young woman to be their plaything for the night. However, once the cameras start rolling, so do heads as they discover their victim belongs to another… something living inside of her… something monstrous. The tables now turned, the men will receive a lesson in true pain and torture as they become the “stars” of the film.
Transformers: Age of Extinction
Pioneer
In the early 1980s, enormous oil and gas deposits were discovered in the North Sea. A corporate battle ensues between competing Norwegian and American diving teams to win the lucrative contract to bring these natural resources ashore through a pipeline on the ocean bed, 500 metres below the surface. Norwegian diver Petter (Aksel Hennie – Headhunters) is obsessed with reaching the depths necessary to lay the pipeline and – along with his brother and an ambitious American diver (Wes Bentley – The Hunger Games) – has the discipline, strength and courage to take on this dangerous experiment. But a sudden, tragic accident changes everything. In trying to get to the truth behind the accident, Petter finds himself up against shadowy forces and an industrial machine that will go to any lengths to keep the truth under wraps, in order to secure the profits that will flow. With his life at stake, he must decide who he can trust and what he most believes in.
Scarlett Couture (Comic)
Kidnapped and held for ransom as a teenager, billionaire fashion heiress Scarlett Couture subsequently trained in hand-to-hand combat and intelligence skills under her rescuer, Lt. Spencer Kelly, to ensure she’d never be held captive again. After learning that her mother was a former spy for the C.I.A., Scarlett now uses her mother’s global fashion company as a cover to bring the world’s greatest criminals to justice!
White Pig
White Pig is a story that covers a series of grisly murders that shake up a whole country. Told through the eyes of both the killer, Jens, and the police officer, Mia, this story unravels mysteriously, until Mia faces a monster masked as a very normal person. They both end up dangerously crossing each other, which ultimately determines how they alter each other’s fate, forever.
Daddy’s Little Girl
After the police find Derek’s daughter brutally murdered on the beach, he vows to make the culprit suffer for his actions, even if that person is ‘part of the family.’ With careful research into the history of torture, Derek prepares himself and his basement for a week of brutal tactics that will make his daughter’s killer feel the pain that he has inflicted upon so many others. In a time when stranger danger is ever present, a single father learns that it’s the ones you trust most who have to be watched the closest.
The Maze Runner
Based on the best-selling young adult thriller, The Maze Runner is set in a post-apocalyptic world where Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) is deposited in a community of young men after his memory is erased. After learning they’re all trapped in a maze, Thomas joins forces with fellow “runners” to not only escape the maze, but solve its riddle and reveal the chilling secret of who brought them there, and why.
The Boxtrolls
The Boxtrolls is a comedic fable that unfolds in Cheesebridge, a posh Victorian-era town obsessed with wealth, class and the stinkiest of fine cheeses. Beneath its charming cobblestone streets dwell the Boxtrolls, foul monsters who crawl out of the sewers at night and steal what the townspeople hold most dear: their children and their cheeses. At least that’s the legend residents have always believed. In truth, the Boxtrolls are an underground cavern-dwelling community of quirky and lovable oddballs who wear recycled cardboard boxes the way turtles wear their shells. The Boxtrolls have raised an orphaned human boy, EGGS (voiced by Isaac Hempstead-Wright), since infancy as one of their dumpster-diving and mechanical junk-collecting own. When the Boxtrolls are targeted by a villainous pest exterminator ARCHIBALD SNATCHER (Acadamy Award winner Ben Kingsley) who is bent on eradicating them as his ticket to Cheesebridge society, the kind-hearted band of tinkerers must turn to their adopted charge and an adventurous rich girl WINNIE (Elle Fanning) to bridge two worlds amidst the winds of change – and cheese.
Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return
As a continuation of one of the world’s most popular and well loved stories, LEGENDS OF OZ: DOROTHY’S RETURN finds Dorothy Gale (Lea Michelle) waking up to a devastated post-tornado Kansas and is soon rushed back to Oz to save her old friends the Scarecrow (Dan Aykroyd), the Tin Man (Kelsey Grammer), the Cowardly Lion (Jim Belushi), Glinda the Good Witch (Bernadette Peters) and the entire Land of Oz from the devious brother of the Wicked Witch of the West – The Jester (Martin Short). With Dorothy as their only hope to restore order and happiness to Emerald City, she must embark on another adventure meeting a host of new friends, Wiser the Owl (Oliver Platt), Marshal Mallow (Hugh Dancy), Tugg the Treeboat (Patrick Stewart) and China Doll Princess (Megan Hilty) to help her along the way.
